In a heart-wrenching incident early Saturday morning, a woman lost her life in San Antonio after a fall from a truck during a domestic dispute. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified her as Roxana Bafidis, a 32-year-old resident.
Authorities reported that around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Bafidis was involved in a heated argument with a man while inside a truck parked at an apartment complex located in the 17800 block of La Cantera Terrace. Witnesses indicated that as the argument escalated, Bafidis attempted to cling to the vehicle as the driver began to pull away.
Upon arrival, police and emergency responders found Bafidis with serious head injuries. She was quickly transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after admission. The nature of her injuries was later determined to be a result of blunt-force trauma from the fall.
Investigators noted that the driver of the truck fled the scene of the incident. Should this individual be located, police have stated he could face charges for failing to stop and render aid to Bafidis.
This tragic event has left many in the community in shock. As details continue to unfold, local residents are expressing their condolences and concern about the circumstances leading to such a devastating outcome.
As the investigation continues, the San Antonio community is reminded of the importance of seeking help in domestic situations to prevent tragic accidents like this one.
