The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) is seeking assistance from the public to identify and locate a woman thought to be involved in a string of vehicle burglaries and subsequent credit card fraud incidents. These activities are reported to have occurred in various regions of northern San Antonio during recent weeks.
In recent times, the northern areas of San Antonio have experienced an upsurge in vehicle burglary incidents. Amongst the regions affected, McAllister Park appears to be a recurrent location of these criminal activities. Reports indicate that private belongings and other properties have been stolen frequently from vehicles. Particularly, credit and debit cards left in vehicles have come under attack leading to subsequent fraudulent transactions.
To help with the investigations, the SAPD is appealing to the general public for information that can assist in identifying the woman connected with the vehicle break-ins and credit card fraud. Information on the suspect’s identity or any suspicious activities around the affected areas could provide crucial leads to the police and can be an essential part in solving the case. Residents are also urged to report any suspicious activities that they come across in the area.
Any person with substantial information related to the burglaries and fraud instances is asked to get in touch with the SAPD’s Property Crimes Task Force at 210-207-8326. Alternatively, SAPD Detective Moses Berban can be emailed at moses.berban@sanantonio.gov. Individuals sharing information may remain anonymous if they prefer, ensuring their safety and privacy.
In light of recent incidents, SAPD has reminded the public to remain vigilant and to secure their belongings especially in public spaces and in their vehicles. Specifically, officers have cautioned against leaving credit cards and other valuables in unattended vehicles as these can be prime targets for criminals. The public is encouraged to adopt preventive measures to reduce the chances of becoming victims of such criminal activities.
As investigations continue, San Antonio residents are encouraged to be extra alert, report anything out of the ordinary and join forces with the local police force in nabbing criminal elements within community neighborhoods. The fight against crime requires everybody’s participation and with collaborative vigilant efforts, communities will be able to safeguard their neighborhoods and help the police in their mission to curb crime.
