Severe Weather Causes Delivery Delays and Adjusted Store Hours in San Antonio
Looks like San Antonio is bracing for some serious inclement weather this evening. With forecasts hinting at rough conditions, it’s a good idea to keep an eye on your home deliveries and grocery runs this week. Here’s what you need to know to stay in the loop and keep your week running smoothly.
Delivery News You Need to Know
If you’re expecting your Tuesday delivery of the Express-News, be prepared for a possible hiccup. There’s a strong chance that your daily read could be delayed or even canceled. The decision to hold off on deliveries is all about keeping the delivery contractors safe during potentially hazardous weather. If your delivery does get canceled, don’t fret! The newspaper will be right on your doorstep the following day, Wednesday, when the service gets back on track.
For those who like to stay updated on service changes, you can follow live updates at www.expressnews.com. Plus, if you’re looking to catch up on the latest news from the comfort of your couch, make sure to check out the e-Edition of the newspaper available through a handy link provided on the site.
If you have any questions or need help, the friendly folks at Customer Care are available to assist you. You can reach them via ExpressNews.com/account or by calling 210-250-2000. Their hours are pretty convenient too—Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m..
Grocery Shopping Adjustments at H-E-B
Wimberley’s H-E-B will follow suit, shutting down at 7 p.m. on Monday and also reopening at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Most H-E-B stores in Central Texas are keeping to regular hours on Monday, but don’t forget—they too will open at 10 a.m. the next day.
If you’re near Central Market in Central Texas, make note that they will close at 10 p.m. tonight and adjust their hours to open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday as well. As for the H-E-B pharmacies, they’re likely following the adjusted store hours too, so plan accordingly!
If you rely on curbside or home delivery from H-E-B, those services might also have limited availability as the weather rolls in. It’s a great idea to check the H-E-B app for updated times and availability if you plan to make use of those services.
Border Area Updates
For our friends in the border regions—stores in Crystal City, Hondo, Uvalde, Pearsall, and Carrizo Springs will be closing at 7 p.m. tonight, while Del Rio and Eagle Pass stores will wrap up at 8 p.m.. Del Rio will also open at 10 a.m. Tuesday. As for Laredo, they’re sticking to regular hours tonight and will also open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
Stay safe, folks! Keep your umbrellas handy, stay updated, and look after your neighbors. San Antonio, we’ll get through this together!
