New Leads in Stacey Dramiga Murder Case Prompt Bexar County Investigation

San Antonio has been rocked by the unresolved murder of Stacey Dramiga, a 63-year-old woman whose mysterious death has left both her family and local authorities searching for answers. As investigators delve into this tragic case, they are trying out some new strategies to attract attention and gather fresh leads that could inch them closer to identifying Dramiga’s killer.

A Mysterious Disappearance

The troubles began on September 22, when Dramiga went for a routine long walk along the scenic Salado Creek Greenway, starting her adventure at Covington Park located in the heart of the 2600 block of Rigsby Avenue.

But what should have been a refreshing stroll soon turned into a nightmare. The following day, a desperate search led deputies to discover her lifeless body approximately three miles away, closer to Dafoste Park. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office later determined that Dramiga had suffered from head trauma—a critical piece of evidence that suggests foul play.

Investigative Efforts Begin

As the days moved forward without a suspect in sight, one could imagine the frustration bubbling beneath the surface for those involved in the case. Bexar County Sheriff, Javier Salazar, expressed this sentiment, stating, “Would I have loved to be able to put somebody in jail by now for the case? Absolutely.” His words echo the hopes of an entire community longing for justice.

Initially, there had been a ray of hope when authorities arrested a person of interest, Marco Antonio Flores, a 37-year-old whose questionable behavior caught the attention of law enforcement while they were surveying the area following the tragic discovery. Flores was taken into custody on a charge related to evading arrest, but at this point, he remains only a person of interest—not a suspect. Salazar noted that while Flores seemed to have insider knowledge about the murder, they were unable to directly link him to the crime.

New Strategies in Play

In an effort to make new headway, investigators are partnering with San Antonio Crime Stoppers. As part of this collaboration, Sheriff Salazar is reaching out to community members for assistance in generating additional leads.

“This is a Crime Stoppers case,” Salazar explained. “So I would use this as an opportunity to remind everybody that if you’ve got information on this case, please give us a call.” Tips can be submitted anonymously, which may ease the fears of those who hold crucial information that potentially leads to the resolution of this distressing incident. Notably, those who assist may even be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000—an appealing incentive for anyone who wishes to help bring justice to Stacey Dramiga and her grieving family.

A Call to Action

As San Antonio pulls together in the hopes of solving this horrific crime, the call to action is clear: Anyone with information about the murder of Stacey Dramiga is urged to step forward. If you think you can help, please don’t hesitate to contact Crime Stoppers at (210) 224-STOP (7867). No clue is too small, and together, the community can stand united in seeking justice.

Let’s come together, San Antonio, and show that we won’t stand for such violence in our neighborhoods. Each tip could be a step closer to putting this case to rest—which is something the entire community yearns for. Our thoughts remain with Stacey’s family, and may justice soon shine upon this case.
