In honor of Financial Literacy Month, Prairie View A&M University’s Cooperative Extension Program, in partnership with community organizations, invites families to join us for ‘Stacks and Strategy: Your Money Game Plan’—a free, family-friendly financial literacy event happening Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Greater Love Multi-Generational Cultural and Community Center.

This event aims to equip individuals and families with real-world financial knowledge and tools to support long-term economic stability. Attendees will enjoy expert-led sessions on budgeting, credit, homeownership, debt reduction, and retirement planning. Youth in grades 6–12 will participate in a hands-on Reality Fair where they will explore careers, receive mock salaries, and build budgets based on real-life expenses. Virtual reality stations will allow them to engage in interactive career exploration.

Additional features include engaging workshops for all ages, interactive exhibitor booths, entertainment, giveaways, and more—designed to foster learning in a fun and welcoming environment. This event is open to the public and is a great opportunity for families to connect with local financial resources and gain practical strategies to build a brighter financial future.
