San Antonio, Texas. – A teenager accused of murder at a Sonic Drive-In, one of the popular fast-food chains in San Antonio, has now been listed as one of the most wanted fugitives in Texas. Identified as 17-year-old Adiah Namir Roberson, the fugitive is being hunted by the Texas Department of Public Safety after being named on Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list.
In July, Roberson was reportedly involved in an incident that resulted in the fatal shooting of a Sonic manager. The incident took place at the premises of the Sonic Drive-In. Following the incident, an arrest warrant for Roberson was issued. The search for her, which was initially concentrated in San Antonio, has now been extended to Austin as per the latest reports.
The murder victim, identified as Daniel Shrewsbury, was reportedly killed barely a week shy of his 34th birthday. According to available details, Shrewsbury was on his overnight shift at Sonic when he was gunned down. Roberson, it is reported, had allegedly taken about $100 from a tip cup which led to the conflict.
When Shrewsbury went out to take pictures of the license plate of the vehicle that Roberson was in, it is alleged that she got out and shot him in the chest. The Sonic manager somehow managed to make it back inside the restaurant but collapsed shortly afterwards and was pronounced dead at the scene.
During the investigation, the police managed to arrest a 27-year-old man identified as Joshua Joseph, believed to be the getaway driver of the vehicle Roberson was in. A search is on for another individual believed to have been in the vehicle during the incident.
Roughly 5-feet-5-inches tall, Roberson weighs around 100 pounds. She is known to have multiple piercings on her nose, upper and lower lips, face, and eyebrows. The authorities have warned that she could possibly be armed and is highly likely to be dangerous.
The authorities have now offered cash rewards for information that could lead to Roberson’s arrest. A reward of up to $5,000 has been announced by the Department of Public Safety while Crime Stoppers of San Antonio is offering a similar reward. Tips can be submitted through Facebook or the DPS website. The authorities have assured that all tips submitted will be kept anonymous.
Roberson, it has been found, is wanted not just for the murder but also in Bexar County for forgery of a government document. As the manhunt continues, the authorities have been reaching out to the public for any information that could aid in Roberson’s capture.
