Texas Rangers Game Day Atmosphere

News Summary

The Texas Rangers have announced the launch of the Rangers Sports Network (RSN), set to provide accessible game broadcasts to 16.5 million households. This initiative aims to enhance viewing experiences, allowing fans in Texas and nearby states to enjoy games without previous complications. With partnerships with major providers and a dedicated streaming app, the Rangers are ready to revolutionize baseball viewing. Fans can also look forward to a talented team of broadcasters and comprehensive coverage of spring training and regular season games.

Exciting News for Texas Rangers Fans!

The Texas Rangers are rolling out an exciting new way to watch games that’s sure to bring a smile to the faces of baseball fans across the Lone Star State and beyond! On January 27, 2025, the Rangers announced the launch of the Rangers Sports Network (RSN), designed specifically to ensure that viewers can tune in to games without the previous complications that have plagued broadcasts in recent years.

Fan-Friendly Broadcasting!

For baseball enthusiasts located in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, and parts of New Mexico, the RSN is a game changer. Just think about it—the Rangers are aiming to reach a whopping 16.5 million households with their new broadcasting strategy. This is a huge leap from the 1.6 million households they reached under the previous agreement with Bally Sports Southwest, which faced issues after its parent company, Diamond Sports Group, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy back in March 2023.

A New Era in Baseball Viewing

Previously, fans relied on Bally Sports Southwest to catch their favorite teams. However, in October 2024, changes were on the horizon as Major League Baseball announced that the Rangers would not continue the partnership with Diamond or Bally Sports for the upcoming season. This left the Rangers with a clear opportunity to take the reins on their own viewing platforms, leading to the formation of the new Rangers Sports Media and Entertainment Company, which will oversee the operations of RSN.

Multiple Ways to Watch!

The Rangers are serious about accessibility, and their new arrangement includes partnerships with major providers like DirecTV, AT&T’s U-verse, and Charter’s Spectrum. But that’s not all! Fans will also benefit from free over-the-air (OTA) broadcasts thanks to agreements with Nexstar Media Group and Gray Media. Mark your calendars because the first game to be aired OTA will be on March 28, 2025, where the Rangers are set to play against the Boston Red Sox!

Streaming Fans Rejoice!

For those who prefer to catch games on the go, the RSN will also be available through the Dallas Stars’ Victory+ streaming app, with a season pass priced at an affordable $100. Now you can cheer on the Rangers from anywhere without missing a moment of the action!

New Faces and Familiar Voices

What’s more exciting? The Rangers have lined up an impressive team of broadcasters for the 2025 season. Fans can expect to hear the energetic play-by-play from Dave Raymond, with color analysis from talented personalities such as Mike Bacsik and David Murphy. Field reporters Laura Stickells and Emily Jones will keep fans up to date on all the happenings, while Jared Sandler will be hosting the pregame and postgame shows. Oh, and former player Elvis Andrus will be on hand to offer insights as an analyst!

Spring Training and Regular Season Coverage

Baseball fans can get ready for an action-packed season, as the Rangers have also committed to broadcasting all spring training games! These will be available on flagship radio station 105.3 The Fan or through a live webcast. As for the regular season, expect to see 15 primetime Friday night home games featured on the OTA network, ensuring that fans have plenty of opportunities to show their support!

Get Ready for Opening Day!

As we gear up for the first game of the season on March 27, 2025, where the Rangers will once again take on the Boston Red Sox, it’s safe to say that the future of watching Rangers baseball is looking brighter than ever. With so many ways to connect to the action, fans can finally enjoy Texas baseball without the hassle. So, grab your jerseys, fire up your devices, and get ready to cheer for the Rangers in style!
