San Antonio’s Renowned Toro Tapas Spot Selected For Prestigious Dinner Event By Spanish Trade Commission

San Antonio’s esteemed tapas hotspot, Toro Kitchen & Bar, has been handpicked by the Trade Commission of Spain for an exclusive dining experience slated to take place on Wednesday, May 8.

Culinary Collaboration with California Wine Bar Canela

The event is an inspired collaboration between Toro, the Trade Commission of Spain, and California’s reputable wine bar, Canela. Tagged “Corks & Forks”, this special event aims to amplify the diverse and rich culinary heritage of Spain while drawing attention to the exceptional quality of food products procured in the country.

Experience the Authenticity of Spanish Cuisine

This meticulously curated dinner will throw a spotlight on “Protected Designations of Origin” ingredients. These ingredients distinctly characterized by their specific geographical environment and unequivocally demonstrate Spain’s wealth of outstanding and unique natural produce. The Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) classification certifies products cultivated, processed, and developed exclusively in specific geographic locales. This certification, created in Europe in 1992, therefore presents an avenue for local producers to showcase their indigenous know-how and the exceptional quality of local ingredients.

A Gourmet Adventure Curated By Renowned Chefs

Famed chefs from both Toro and Canela have dedicated their expertise to crafting an exquisite six-course menu that stars a range of PDO ingredients. The culinary lineup includes delicacies such as a specialty Spanish cheese, an enticing Iberico tartar, delectable pork belly, and succulent Spanish sea bass. To further enhance this gastronomic experience, each dish will be paired meticulously with uniquely Spanish wines.

Immerse in a Luxurious Evening of Dining

Slated to take place from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Toro Stone Oak, located at 115 N. Loop 1604 East, Suite 1100, this enchanting dinner event invites patrons to enhance their notions of Spain’s profound culinary riches.
