Enjoy floats from local non-profits and veteran organizations, along with the honor of seeing Retired United States Air Force Colonel Mickey Addison as this year’s Grand Marshal. It’s a fantastic way to show your appreciation for those who served!
Saturday, November 9, 2024, is a special day in San Antonio, featuring a parade that starts at Milam Park and goes down historic Houston Street. With the Honorable Brigadier General Randy P. Oakland and Representative Josey Garcia as the grand marshalls, it’s sure to be a day filled with pride and respect! The parade kicks off at 12 noon—don’t forget to claim your spot to cheer on our veterans!
Mark your calendar for November 10, 2024! At Blue Bonnet Place, there’s lots of excitement waiting for you from 11 am to 8 pm. You can shop at the vendor market, catch the NFL games, meet Santa, and enjoy live music. There will be fun activities for kids, making it a perfect family outing.
On the same day, don’t miss the Helotes Veterans Day Concert featuring the Helotes Area Community Band! It’s happening at the Helotes Fire Department at 3 pm. Bring your friends and enjoy some great tunes while you munch on snacks and refreshments!
The grand finale arrives on November 11, 2024! Head over to the Alamo for the Military Appreciation Family Day from 9 am to 4 pm. With interactive exhibits, guest speakers, live performances, and ceremonies, it’s a wonderful way to celebrate our military and their families.
Another heartfelt ceremony takes place at La Vernia City Park at 4 pm. Enjoy a performance by the County Line Community Band and light refreshments, courtesy of H-E-B. Don’t forget to bring your favorite veterans and a comfy chair!
Wrap up this meaningful day by participating in a 5k run at Ranger Creek Brewing & Distilling. Scheduled for November 11, 2024, this event promises delicious beer samples and a finisher’s mug upon completion for just $40! Athletes under 21 will have non-alcoholic options, too.
