In a shocking incident, a domestic dispute in a South Side home ended tragically when a woman in her 40s was found fatally stabbed late on Tuesday night. The San Antonio police have arrested a 52-year-old man identified as James Mendoza in connection to the crime.

Officers responded to a distress call just after 11 p.m. regarding a case of family violence at a house located in the 100 block of Division Avenue, not far from South Flores Street. Upon arriving at the scene, the officers discovered the lifeless body of the woman with multiple stab wounds. The authorities have not yet revealed the identity of the victim.
The victim had reportedly gone to the home alone and family members raised alarm when they hadn’t heard from her for several hours.
The Suspect in Custody
Mendoza was found at the crime scene by officers with self-inflicted injuries to his chest and wrists. He was promptly taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for medical attention where he is expected to recover.
